Valentines Day is just around the corner and the Lincoln Continental Barbershop Chorus will be spreading the love in a special way. Five of the organizations quartets will be delivering singing Valentines to sweethearts all across the city.
Ron Mays is one of the serenaders and tells KLIN News they have been doing this for the past 25 years and it has become their biggest fundraiser of the year. “As guys we all get stuck in the rut of doing the same thing every year and this kind of changes it up a little.”
Mays says the quartets will sing two songs and deliver a box of chocolates to each recipient. If you want to say “I Love You” with a song the cost is $50 for a basic delivery, $60 for a 2 hour window or $70 time-specific or outside the area.
