Lincoln Police says a 40 year old man was shot in the foot during an argument at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Farm Road Saturday morning.
Sergeant Chris Vollmer says a 20 year old woman who shared an apartment with 19 Year old Larry Harris showed up with two men to help remove items.
During an argument Vollmer says Harris fired a handgun inside the apartment and struck the victim in the foot. “Harris fled the apartment prior to police arrival but was located in the area,” Vollmer says. “Also located along Harris’ path of travel was a backpack containing marijuana and suspected psilocybin mushrooms and a Glock model 19 handgun.”
LPD says a check of the gun’s serial number found it was reported stolen out of Topeka, Kansas. The victim was taken to a Lincoln hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Harris was arrested and booked into jail for possession of a stolen firearm, tampering with physical evidence, attempt to deliver controlled substance and possession of a firearm during a felony drug violation. He was also cited and released for discharging of a firearm in city limits.
