A Lincoln man called police just before 11:00 Thursday morning to say he was robbed inside his home near 10th and C Street by two women, including one he had met on Facebook.
“She agreed to visit him at his home a short time later,” says Sergeant Chris Vollmer. “When the victim arrived at his home, he observed the
female he had been communicating with had already arrived and entered through his unlocked door.”
Vollmer says the woman was also with another woman and both were holding a pair of his Jordan sneakers. “The victim confronted the females, who responded by yelling at him and removing his wallet, ripping the front pocket of his jeans in the process,” Vollmer says.
The women left his home with two pair of sneakers, $2,000 cash and a debit card. As a reminder, Vollmer says when communicating with or
meeting people online, be cautious about offering personal information to people you don’t know.
