Lincoln Transportation and Utilities declared a Snow Emergency Lincoln as the organization continues its winter weather operations. While there are currently no parking bans in effect at this time, residents should prepare to remove their vehicles from emergency snow routes, bus routes and arterial streets if necessary.
Crews continue to patrol arterial routes, plow slush and snowpack, and perform de-icing treatments.
The National Weather Service also announced that a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6 PM tonight. Extreme cold, blowing snow, and high winds with wind chills as low as 45 below zero are possible.
