The latest National Weather Service forecast is indicating light snow and flurries are possible this morning but by mid-day freezing drizzle will be more widespread along and south of I-80.

Temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 20s for the Lincoln area this afternoon with roads becoming slick with light ice and snow accumulations.  This could be especially difficult for the afternoon commute today (Wednesday).  Up to one tenth (1/10th) of an inch of ice is possible.

By early evening, the cold front will move through with winds switching to the North and becoming very strong.  Temperatures will plummet overnight, snow will become heavier and wind chills will become dangerously cold.
