Lincoln Police are searching for a stolen red 2020 Ram 1500 they believe to be involved in a robbery where a 59 year old woman was assaulted. Around 2:20 Monday morning police were called to the 400 block of Lakeshore Drive near Capitol Beach Lake.
Sergeant Chris Vollmer says a caller reported their $70,000 Ram 1500 with Nebraska license plate WKR323 had just been stolen. Police were then called to a home near 42nd and Normal by a woman who was attacked by four men as she opened her garage door. Vollmer says one of the men struck the woman twice and knocked her to the ground.
One of the men also pulled a handgun during the assault and the woman’s purse was stolen. They then left in a a vehicle matching the description of the previously stolen Ram.
Vollmer says if you spot the vehicle do not approach it and call 911 or LPD at 402-441-6000.
