Another year, another AVCA All-American from Nebraska.
Sophomore libero Lexi Rodriguez was named second-team All-America Wednesday. Outside hitter Madi Kubik earned honorable mention.
A team captain, Rodriguez is a back-to-back All-American. She earned first-team last year. In 2022, Rodriguez averaged 4.26 digs per set, anchoring a Big Red defense that averaged 1.3 digs more per set than opponents while limiting them to .124 hitting.
Rodriguez’s honor gives Nebraska a nation-leading 99 All-America team awards all-time.
Kubik earns her third All-America honorable mention (2019, 2020) after being named to the third-team in 2021. This year, Kubik hit a career-high .241 on 3.11 kills per set while adding 2.54 digs per set.
