For 25 years, City Impact has been giving families in need Christmas with dignity through its Gifts of Love event. Partnering with many local businesses, City Impact is providing three opportunities for families to find the perfect gifts for their loved ones.
“Starting [Dec. 13], our kids will be here to shop for their parents as well as their siblings,” Kirsty Goodwin, Executive Director of City Impact told KLIN News. “And for two days, Friday and Saturday, 16th and 17th, we have the CI families as well as the community coming in to shop for their families.”
For Gifts of Love, City Impact buys gifts for shoppers to purchase at discounts of at least 75 percent. This way, according to Goodwin, people can shop with “the dignity of saying that they bought something for their loved ones and that their loved ones are able to celebrate Christmas in a way that brings joy to the home.”
The first Gifts of Love event will be Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 6 to 8 PM. The second one will occur Friday, Dec. 16 from 10 AM to 7 PM. The third and final day will be Saturday, Dec. 17 from 9 AM to 3 PM. All three will take place at City Impact at 1035 North 33rd St.
