Nebraska volleyball’s season has come to a close.
The Huskers fell in the Louisville Regional at the hand of Oregon Thursday afternoon. The Ducks took the match in five sets: 14-25, 26-24, 22-25, 32-30, 15-11.
NU had a number of opportunities to close out the match. In the fourth set alone, Nebraska had four match point chances, but couldn’t close out the Ducks.
Oregon out-hit Nebraska .217 to .199. That includes OU committing more attack errors in the match.
Nebraska had a better serve, winning the ace battle seven to four while also committing nine less service errors.
The Huskers had twice as many blocks in the match as Oregon with 14.
Lindsay Krause led the Big Red attack with 16 kills on .324 hitting. Ally Batenhorst added 15 kills while Whitney Lauenstein notched 12.
Kaitlyn Hord finished with nine blocks to go with seven kills.
This was the final collegiate match for Nicklin Hames, Kaitlyn Hord, and Madi Kubik.
Nebraska ends the season at 26-6.
