For the second-consecutive Big Ten Conference game, Jaz Shelley was feeling it.

The junior guard scored 29 points Sunday in an upset at then-No. 20 Maryland. On Wednesday, Shelley eclipsed that total with 31 in an 82-54 romp of Wisconsin.

The victory improved the Huskers to 7-3 on the season and 2-0 in the Big Ten.

After a back-and-forth start, Nebraska ran off a 15-0 run to end the first quarter. The Badgers pushed back to make it a single-digit game in the second quarter but never truly threatened the Huskers.

NU’s lead steadily grew to the 28-point difference at the final buzzer.

Shelley’s 31 points are one off of her career-high. She made 7-of-12 three-pointers as Nebraska made 13-of-28 on the night. NU shot 50 percent from the field.

Two other Huskers finished in double-figures: Allison Weidner 13 points, Annika Stewart 10 points.

Alexis Markowski finished with a game-high 12 rebounds.

The win was made more impressive by Nebraska being shorthanded. The Huskers had just eight players suited up. The most notably absent player was Issie Bourne. The Australian forward was on the bench with her right arm in a sling.

Nebraska continues its five-game homestand Saturday hosting Samford.
