Rock Tossing Vandal Causes $5,400 Damage In Northeast Lincoln

By Tom Stanton Dec 7, 2022 | 11:14 AM

Police are investigating 16 cases of rock vandalism that happened December 1-5 in northeast Lincoln.  LPD Captain Todd Kocian says all but one of the cases happened in the area from 43rd to 52nd Streets and Walker to Cleveland.

“In all those cases either a brick, rock or small chunk of concrete was thrown through of a window at either a home or apartment complex,” Kocian says.  “Sounds like people were either in their house or sleeping, hear a crash and there’s a rock through their window.”

Damage is estimated at $5,400 and Kocian says the suspect is described as a 20-30 year old man who was wearing black pants and a red sweatshirt  with gray sleeves and a stripe.

Police say anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
