Nebraska women’s basketball has its best win of the season.
The Huskers upended No. 20 Maryland in College Park Sunday afternoon 90-67. The Huskers scored the final 13 points of the game to secure the upset.
NU is now 6-3 on the season and 1-0 in Big Ten Conference play. This is the first road win and first ranked victory of the year.
Jaz Shelley led all scorers with 29 points, including making 6-of-10 3s. Issie Bourne made 4-of-5 3s for 18 points.
Allison Weidner notched a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds.
As a team, Nebraska shot 50 percent for the game and made 12-of-25 triples.
Nebraska returns home to host Wisconsin Wednesday.
