Nebraska Advances Over Kansas in Four Sets

Nebraska volleyball’s NCAA Tournament run continues.

The Huskers defeated Kansas in four sets (25-14, 25-18, 19-25, 26-24) Friday in the second round.

Nebraska outhit KU .232 to .152. Kansas did manage more service aces (4-1) and blocks (13-11) on the night.

After missing the last couple matches, Nicklin Hames returned to lead NU with 25 assists. Anni Evans pitched in 20.

A balanced attack saw six Huskers notch between seven and 13 kills. Lindsay Krause had the 13 kills on .357 hitting. Madi Kubik and Ally Batenhorst had 10 kills each.

Nebraska advances to the regional semifinals next week. The Huskers opponent is still being determined in Oregon.
