Nebraska women’s basketball is still looking for a true road win this season.

The Huskers (5-3) fell at No. 9 Virginia Tech Thursday in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge by a score of 85-54. NU is now 0-3 in road games this season, but undefeated at home and in neutral site contests.

The Hokies proved to have too much firepower, with Georgia Amoore notching the program’s first ever triple-double (24 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists). Elizabeth Kitley had a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Virginia Tech shot 50.8 percent for the game, including 10-of-24 on 3s. Nebraska managed just a 33.9 percent shooting clip and 6-of-20 three-pointers.

Issie Bourne led the Huskers with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Nebraska stays on the road Sunday to open Big Ten Conference play at No. 20 Maryland.
