KLIN has acquired the police report regarding the arrest of former Huskers interim head coach Mickey Joseph yesterday afternoon.

The LPD report states that Joseph, referred to by his birth name “Robert,” and his wife, Priscilla, were arguing over infidelity when the argument got physical.

The affidavit says, “Robert pushed her from the front, causing her to fall on the couch.” It continues, saying, “Priscilla advised Robert got on top of her on the couch and placed his hands on her throat.”

Priscilla said she was unable to breathe until she was able to push Robert off of her. The affidavit says that the violence continued into the kitchen.

“Priscilla advised that Robert grabbed her hair from behind and pulled her backward, causing her to fall to the ground,” according to the report, which continues, “She specifically stated that Robert ‘Grabbed me by the hair and punched me in the eye.'” The affidavit states that officers on the scene observed “visible redness and swelling around her left eye which was consistent with being struck.”

Officers also noticed long strands of hair clinging onto her right leg, which Priscilla reported to have been pulled from her head when Robert grabbed her. Priscilla also reported that Robert attempted to flush her cell phone down the toilet.

The affidavit then goes into details about Priscilla’s brother Ricardo Arzaga, who reported he was in the east bedroom on the second floor of the house when he overheard the argument occurring on the main floor. The affidavit states that Ricardo “walked to the balcony overlooking the main floor and observed Robert and Priscilla in the living room.” It was there that Ricardo reported seeing Robert with his hand around Priscilla’s throat.

“Ricardo advised he yelled to Robert, who pushed Priscilla backward onto the couch,” says the affidavit. Following Robert’s attempt to flush the phone down the toilet, Ricardo advised that he “observed Priscilla’s cellular phone to be placed inside a container of rice on the kitchen counter.”

The report says Robert was contacted at the 7500 block of San Mateo Ln at about 3:10 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 30. He waived his Miranda Rights and provided a statement, denying that he struck Priscilla in the face or grabbed her hair. He was lodged for 3rd degree domestic assault and strangulation.
