Acting Governor Mike Foley signed an executive order that will extend existing emergency relief for a lack of fuel in the region. Under the order, drivers may work extended hours to haul gasoline or gasoline blends, diesel, fuel oil, ethanol, propane, and biodiesel.
The aim of the order is to reduce delays at gas stations by making fuel more available to drivers. The order is effective immediately and will remain in effect through Dec. 31.
