Two men and a 17 year old from Omaha were arrested after Lincoln Police say they were found with a stolen catalytic converter in a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Omaha.

Captain Todd Kocian says it all began around 10:00 Saturday morning when someone called 911 about two males getting out of a Honda SUV and checking door handles of vehicles in the area of 16th and Otoe.

He says a check of the license plate determined the vehicle was stolen.  Officers eventually found the SUV at the U-Stop near 21st and K Street. One of the suspects was found in the vehicle.  The other two were inside the store.

When officers searched the vehicle they found the stolen catalytic converter that had been cut from a 2007 Hyundai Sante Fe near 29th and Plymouth. Also in the vehicle was a reciprocating saw.

22 year old Than Tun was arrested for  theft by receiving stolen property, possession of burglar tools, criminal possession of a financial transaction device.

21 year old Kyaw Wah was booked for theft by receiving stolen property and possession of burglar tools.  The 17-year-old was taken to the Youth Assessment Center and booked for theft by receiving and possession of burglar tools.
