Lincoln Police say 53 year old Arthur Schmidt was the motorcyclist killed after a crash on Rosa Parks Way just after 1:00 Wednesday afternoon. LPD Captain Todd Kocian tells KLIN News the initial investigation determined the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Rosa Parks Way approaching 9th Street when Schmidt struck the north side wall.
The impact caused Schmidt to become separated from the motorcycle and he went over the wall and to fell into a parking lot below. Schmidt died at the scene.
Police are still trying to determine what led to the crash.
