Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln has commenced its yearly #GivingTOOLSday tool drive to give their volunteers the resources they need to build homes for families in need. The hashtag is a riff on Giving Tuesday, the biggest giving day of the year, which falls on Nov. 29.
Until the 29th of the month, donors can go to Habitat for Humanity’s Lincoln website to donate money toward the purchase of new tools. Donations of $125 or more will receive a free stocking stuffer mini-tool kit. Alternatively, those who wish to give can buy tools directly from an Amazon wish list. Finally, donors can drop off used tools that are still in good condition at the Habitat ReStore at 5601 S. 59th Street.
