The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) says the COVID-19 Risk Dial will move from low yellow to mid-yellow as some key indicators are showing an increase. The yellow position on the dial indicates that the risk of the virus spreading in the community is moderate.
The indicators in question include an increase in cases increased over the last week – from 210 to 273 for the week ending Nov. 12. Additionally, the seven-day rolling average of hospitalizations increased – from 40 last week to 48 on Tuesday.
Two COVID-related deaths are also being reported. One, an unvaccinated woman in her 80s who was hospitalized and two, a vaccinated woman in her 90s who was also hospitalized. Wastewater surveillance showed a decrease in the number of virus particles compared to the previous week.
