Election Day has come and gone. In the state, county, and capital, the day went smoothly, save for an incident here and there. Throughout the day, Civic Nebraska received calls to its Election Protection Line with reports from stagnant voting lines to minor accessibility issues.

While there were no reports of anything really serious, such as voter intimidation, the day was not without its moments. Civic Nebraska reports that, at a polling location in northwest Lincoln, one election observer repeatedly failed to provide eight feet of distance between themselves and poll workers, was looking at documents on the check-in table, and engaged with workers while on duty.

Furthermore, at least two poll workers, one of which was in Lancaster County, were seen sharing their opinions with voters regarding one of the initiatives on the ballot.
