The northbound lanes of North 27th St. between Dan Avenue and Superior Street have closed for an emergency water main repair. It is not known at this time when the street will fully reopen, but Lincoln Transportation and Utilities hopes to have one lane open by the late afternoon.
Both northbound lanes will close during non-peak traffic hours on Wednesday, Nov. 2 and Thursday, Nov. 3 so that crews may replace damaged concrete. One northbound lane will reopen once complete.
Drivers will be alerted by digital signs, but travelers are encouraged to avoid the area. LTU recommends Cornhusker Highway to North 48th Street to Superior Street to North 27th Street.
