Halloween night turned into a nightmare for a 21 year old man and woman in the 700 block of Belmont. “They were sitting by a firepit in the driveway when approached by two unknown males from the sidewalk,” says Sergeant Chris Vollmer.
The woman told police both were wearing masks and she initially thought they were dressed for Halloween. “The males each produced a handgun and demanded the victims turn over their belongings,” Vollmer says.
The man turned over his wallet with about $100 in cash. The masked gunmen then fled the area on foot around 9:20 p.m. No one was hurt and police continue their search for the suspects.
