The Powerball jackpot for Saturday, Oct. 29 is now up to $825 million; $410.2 with the cash option selected. If won, this would be the second-largest jackpot in Powerball history.
The Powerball jackpot begins at $20 million and grows every drawing until a winner is declared. Since Aug. 6, there have been 36 drawings without a winner.
“The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292 million,” said Neil Watson of the Nebraska Lottery told KLIN News. “There are 292 million possible combinations you can buy on the ticket.”
The Nebraska Lottery aims to make money for good causes while also giving Nebraskans options for enjoyment. Since the lottery began in 1993, over $893 million have been raised for its beneficiary funds. Every county in the state has benefited from associated projects throughout the years.
