A bridge at Antelope Valley Parkway and Saunders Avenue is closed following a fire around 11:30 Thursday night. “When we got there they did find fire under a bridge,” says LFR’s Nancy Crist. “It appeared that it had been started by folks trying to stay warm in the cold air.”
Crist says because of the extreme heat to several concrete bridge supports, LTU crews closed the bridge so it can be inspected. It’s located just south of UNL’s Barbara Hibner Soccer Stadium.
