Bryan Health has purchased the Allstate Campus near 84th and Van Dorn. The 20 acre campus includes two buildings with 165,000 square feet of office space and will be known as the Bryan Firethorn Campus.
The facility will accommodate business and support functions for the growing health system with initial Bryan Health departments working in medical office buildings and rented facilities moving to the new location.
The purchase of the adjacent land and two buildings, with all furnishings, for $16 million will provide a move-in-ready facility that is significantly less expensive than acquiring land to build new structures or continuing costly lease agreements into the future.
It provides easy access to both Bryan East and West Campuses and offers accessibility off a main arterial road for commuting employees. “We are thrilled this very cost-effective opportunity presented itself. It will allow Bryan to invest more into our team and patient care,” says Mike Dewerff, chief financial officer, Bryan Health. “The location and existing facilities are outstanding and meet every element we were seeking when we began exploring options.”
Bryan Health says the purchase was financed and will not impact operational budgets in 2023 or the investment into their workforce or patient care.
