Bryan Health officially unveiled its new Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinic at a media event on the morning of Oct. 25. Dr. Rachel Jendro, Chief Medical Director at the Bryan Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinic, spoke about what makes the establishment special.

“When patients come to the clinic, they get to meet all of their team in one morning,” said Dr. Jendro. “This really helps with fragmented care. These appointments can be spread out over several months to meet different physicians. In this appointment, the patient will meet their breast surgeon, a medical oncologist, [and] a radiation oncologist. They can also meet a genetic counselor, a social worker if needed, and an oncology nurse navigator. So, they really meet that whole team in one morning instead of spreading that out over several weeks.”

The Bryan Breast Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinic is currently located at Bryan East Campus.  It will move to the April Sampson Cancer Center when the facility opens in late 2023 near 40th and Rokeby Road in south Lincoln.
