The deadline to register to vote in the November 8th general election is Friday, Oct. 28. At this point, however, voters must now register in person at the Election Commissioner’s Office at 601 N 46th St. The office is open weekdays from 8 AM to 4:30 PM but will be open from 7:30 AM to 6 PM on the day of the deadline.
Lancaster County residents who will be 18 years old on or before Nov. 8, or who have moved, changed their name, or want to change their political party affiliation must do so by Oct. 28 for the registration to be effective for the election. Voters in neighboring counties must register to vote at their local election commissioner’s or county clerk’s office.
