Lincoln’s Capital Humane Society (CHS) has restarted its Howl-O-Ween promotion, which offers discounted adoption rates of 50 percent for puppies and dogs aged at least five months. The first event ran from Oct. 11 to 16.
Beginning Oct. 20 and continuing through the end of the month, residents can visit the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center at 6500 S. 70th St. for a big discount on their new family pet. According to CHS’s Matt Madcharo, who spoke with KLIN News before the initial promotion, adoption fees for a two-year-old dog typically run about $175. Potential adopters still need to pay license and rabies fees in full, however.
The Pieloch Pet Adoption Center operates 11:30 AM to 7 PM Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 PM on weekends.
