Lincoln Police have arrested a 30 year old woman for the stabbing of a 16 year old girl near a bus stop at 11th and N Street on October 5.  Kristen Ellmers was identified as the suspect through interviews with people at the scene and video from the bus system.

Police say the stabbing happened around 4:30 that afternoon.  Witnesses say two men got into a fight when a woman became upset and yelled a racial slur towards the men.

That comment upset the 16 year old girl, who confronted the woman and suspect.  The two got into a fight and during that altercation the teen was stabbed in the left arm.

Ellmers was arrested in the 100 block of south 11th Street around 5:15 Wednesday afternoon.  She was booked for second degree
assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
