Missing CCC-L Inmate Back in Custody

By Michael Wheeler Oct 13, 2022 | 3:51 PM

Seth Straub, an inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) over three months ago, is back in custody. Straub disappeared on July 1 when he did not return to CCC-L from his job in the community.

Being a community corrections facility, CCC-L provides the lowest-possible custody level and least-restrictive facility. Inmates at CCC-L are permitted work and study opportunities and to attend religious services with prior approval and without immediate supervision.

Straub was sentenced to three to five years on a theft charge. His sentence began on April 6, 2021, and his tentative release date is July 19, 2023.
