Woman Assaulted During Lincoln Home Invasion

By Tom Stanton Oct 10, 2022 | 9:00 AM

Lincoln Police are investigating a home invasion robbery that happened around 2:30 Sunday morning near 25th and H Street.  LPD says a suspect climbed up to the 3rd floor balcony of an apartment and knocked on the patio door.

Sergeant Chris Vollmer says the man who lives there heard a knock at the door before it was forced open by a man he did not know.  The resident struggled with the suspect who was making his way to the front door.

“The suspect unlocked the door, allowing two additional unknown males inside the apartment,” Vollmer says.  The 37 year old man had $1,000 in
cash and his cellphone stolen.  The woman who lives there had her cellphone taken.

Vollmer says during the robbery she was struck in the face by an unknown object, breaking her nose.  She was treated at an area hospital. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Lincoln Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
