Lincoln Police have made an arrest in connection with the homicide of 49 year old Ronnie Patz at a motel in northwest Lincoln in late August. William Wright is charged with first degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Wright was already in custody for the August 31 murder of 61 year old Ronald George. His body was found in a field near 3rd and P Streets. LPD says information gathered during that investigation led officers to an area near Northwest 12th and West Bond Street where Patz was found dead.
LPD Investigators and Crime Scene Technicians continued their investigation by conducting additional interviews, searching various locations for evidence, and collecting evidence that was submitted for additional forensic analysis.
Due to their ongoing efforts throughout the course of the investigation and forensic examination results, Wright was ultimately arrested.
