LPD investigators with the narcotics taskforce followed a lead regarding Steven Owen Watson, a 45-year-old man in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine. LPD made contact with Watson as he exited the Magnuson Hotel at 3400 NW 12th St.
Sgt. Chris Vollmer told media how Watson was apprehended. “Watson was taken into custody after a brief foot chase, during which he discarded a bag with 8.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine.” Police searched Watson’s hotel room and found an additional 135.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Watson is in jail on drug charges.
