Monday marks the beginning of Craft beer Week in Lincoln. Chris Whitney is Communications Coordinator with the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce says 14 establishments will be spotlighted during the week.
“This one is all about the breweries and the cideries and the distilleries, what they want to do, how they want to get people in doors,” Whitney says. He says special events include trivia nights, giveaways and facility tours.
Lincoln Craft Beer Week replaces the Lincoln Craft Beer Tour, which was started in 2017 as a way to get people interested in and to enjoy local craft beer. The tour expanded in 2021 to include not only craft beer, but also cider, distillates, wines and locations that serve these locally
made beverages.
“The experience around craft beer and the role local breweries and producers play when it comes to tourism continues to increase, having a positive effect on our community,” says Jeff Maul, executive director-vice president of the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Lincoln Craft Beer Week is designed to give participants the avenue to learn about the unique beers being brewed in Lincoln as well as the brewing processes and the stories behind each local venue.
