WarHorse Casino Ready To Open In Lincoln On Saturday

By Tom Stanton Sep 22, 2022 | 1:44 PM

If the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission approves a permanent gaming license for the WarHorse Casino during it’s meeting on Friday, Lincoln residents will be able to start playing slot machines on Saturday morning.

“We will get ready and we will be fully prepared to open at 10:30 Saturday morning,” says Lynn McNally, CEO Of Nebraska Horsemen.  McNally says they will open with 433 slot machines in their temporary casino inside the Lincoln Race Course simulcast racing facility near Highway 77 and West Denton Road in southwest Lincoln.

“They will be able to play the newest and latest slot machines in the country.  There are some options that are literally not available anywhere else at any other casino because they are so new,” McNally says.

She says When the full $200 million casino and hotel complex is completed in late 2024 there will be a total of 1.200 slot machines and table games.  The Lincoln casino will be the first of three to open in Nebraska.  The other two are in Omaha and South Sioux City.
