Lancaster County Election Commission Announces Registration Sites

LINCOLN – On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, Americans will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a massive cross-country effort to register voters ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.

Every eligible American voter should have the option to exercise their right to be heard at the ballot box, and National Voter Registration Day is the right day to start by getting registered to vote.

In conjunction with National Voter Registration Day, the Lancaster County Election Commission will conduct four special voter registration drives. Any resident of Nebraska who will be 18 on or before November 8, 2022, has moved, changed their name, or would like to change their political party affiliation, may register to vote on Tuesday, September 20th at the following times and locations:

 

County/City Building

555 S 10th St., Lincoln

11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

 

F Street Recreation Center

1225 F St., Lincoln

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

 

Belmont Recreation Center

1234 Judson St., Lincoln

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

 

Calvert Recreation Center

4500 Stockwell St., Lincoln

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

In addition, voter registration is available online if a voter has a valid Nebraska Driver’s License or State Identification card.    Voter registration is available online at the following link:  www.ne.gov/go/nereg2vote     

Individuals may also register to vote through the mail.  Mail-in registration forms are available at most post offices, banks, and libraries.   A voter registration form is also available on the Election Commissioner’s web site which may be downloaded, printed, and mailed to the Election Commissioner’s office.  The web site address is: //lancaster.ne.gov/election.

Citizens may also register to vote at the Election Commissioner’s Office, 601 North 46th Street, Lincoln.   The office is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  Individuals who have questions regarding voter registration should contact the Election Commissioner’s Office at (402) 441-7311.
