By Tom Stanton Sep 9, 2022 | 11:11 AM

Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews were called to 70th and P Street around 5:30 Friday morning after a bicyclist ended up at the bottom of Deadman’s Run.

“Our crews got there and found the person down int he ravine, approximately 20 feet down with a bicycle nearby,” says LFR Captain Nancy Crist.  The man was found at the edge of the water.

Crist says they used a metal basket, ropes and a pully system to life the man out of the ravine.  She says it only took about ten minutes to rescue the man.  He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.  He was reported in stable condition.

It’s not known how long the man was down there or what caused him to end up in the ravine.
