Two teenagers are accused of damaging a child care center and church Monday evening.  Around 6:45 p.m. officers were called to investigate a burglary at Bubbles and Blocks Child Development Center  on 84th between Pioneers and Old Cheney.

“When they arrived they found glass had been shattered on the north side of the building and entry had been made by two juvenile suspects,” says LPD Captain Max Hubka.  “They discharged a fire extinguisher and walked through the entire building it appears.”

Less than an hour later, officers were sent to the Good Shepard Presbyterian Church at 8300 East Pointe Road on
the report of two juveniles breaking windows at the church.

Arriving officers contacted a 15 year old who was compliant.  The second 15 year old ran but was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.  Both teens matched the descriptions captured by the Bubbles and Blocks security video

They were both taken to the Youth Assessment Center and referred for Criminal Mischief.
