Nebraska volleyball has announced its three team captains for the upcoming season.
Defensive specialist Kenzie Knuckles was selected as a captain for the second time. Knuckles played libero in her first two seasons at NU before transitioning to DS last year, averaging 2.06 digs per set.
2021 AVCA third-team All-American Madi Kubik is a first-time Husker captain. Kubik also earned first-team All-Big Ten honors last season after averaging a team-high 4.11 kills per set in league play.
Lexi Rodriguez, the National Freshman of the Year and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, is also a first-time selection to captain.
The Huskers open their season Friday morning against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
