A 38 year old man is facing charges after a fight in the 3800 block of North 56th Street around 5:51 Monday afternoon. Police responded to a report of a fight where gunshots were fired.
Officers arrived and found no victims or damaged property. Shell casings were located at the scene.
Other officers were in the area at the time of the call and saw a white Chevy Tahoe speeding away from the area. That vehicle was stopped at 1600 Deweese Drive a short time later and the driver identified as Legarian Gamble.
LPD searched the vehicle and found an AR-15 style rifle, numerous rifle magazines, and a 50 round Glock 9mm handgun drum magazine.
Gamble is a convicted felon and prohibited from owing or being in possession of a firearm
Gamble was cited and booked for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a short barreled rifle.
The investigation into the original call and fight continues.
