Lincoln residents will have a chance to enjoy a variety of food and live music while benefiting a good cause on Saturday. The 3rd Annual Food Truck Festival will be held from 4-11 p.m. at Haymarket Park.
The event benefits the Alzheimer’s Association. Volunteer Carrie Dell tells KLIN News there will be eight food trucks and several live bands. The cost is $5 per person and $20 per vehicle.
Dell says all money raised at the Food Truck Festival supports their Lincoln Walk to End Alzheimer’s team. ” Then that money goes to the Alzheimer’s Association and it pays for care and support for people living with the disease, their caregivers, community education and worldwide research.”
Live music will be provided by Hell Toupee, New Jan Brady’s, Slackadelics, FoxPaw, Blinkerfluid, The HeeHaw Militia and Kattastic. Food trucks participating are A Taste of Louisiana, Corner Kitchen, Kouzina, Motor Food, Klein’s Concessions, Street Treat , Valentino’s and Waffle Man.
With hot weather in the forecast for Saturday, Dell encourages people to bring canopies for shade. They raised $9,000 last year and Dell is hoping to raise $15,000 this year. “It’s an event full of hope and support and good vibes, so we are hoping to get a whole lot of people out.”
