Starting Thursday, July 21st, South 70th Street between Rokeby and Saltillo roads will close for a roundabout and water main installation project at Carger Lane.
The work is scheduled to be completed in early November.
The recommended detour is Rokeby Road to South 84th Street to Saltillo Road. This will expand water services to the area and enhance access to Standing Bear High School at 11200 S 70th Street, which is currently under construction.
Digital signs will alert traffic to upcoming work and closures. Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around the work zone. Lincoln Transportation and Utilities appreciates the public’s patience during this work. LTU project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
