The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide.
Sheriff Terry Wagner says, “The autopsy was completed yesterday on Gene Oltman, the 78 year old man who was found dead Monday morning. The doctor determined the cause of death was blunt force trauma. The manner of death is homicide.”
Investigators were called to the 1600 block of SW 40th Street around 8 a.m. Monday. Oltman was found deceased inside the home. Oltman’s wife was at home at the time of the death and she was taken to a hospital for an unrelated medical condition.
LSO is now working to determine what led up to the the fatal injuries.
