A hot and humid air mass will be in place over the area again today. This will be slowly replaced as slightly cooler air moves in from the north. In addition there are chances for thunderstorms the next few days. Some severe storms are possible this afternoon and evening.
Another round of strong to severe storms is possible today, mainly from 4 pm to 10 pm. The primary threats are winds of 60 to 70 mph and hail up to the size of quarters.
The Heat Advisory until 8 pm is forecasting heat index values up to 110 degrees possible by late afternoon.
