Lincoln Police identified the victim of Friday night’s stabbing incident at a convenience store at North 27th and Dudley Street.

26-year-old Austin Gress of Lincoln was stabbed during a fight over a bicycle in the alley near the convenience store.  Gress died at the scene.

The suspect has not been located or named and police reported that Gress knew his attacker.

An apparent altercation over a bicycle led to the stabbing death of a 26-year-old Lincoln man Friday evening.  Shortly before 9 pm, LPD officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of North 27th street near a convenience store where they found the victim with serious injuries however the man died at the scene.

A witness observed the altercation and LPD reports the suspect was known to the victim.

LPD investigators are working to locate the suspect and are reviewing available video evidence.
