The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch beginning at noon Saturday continuing through Monday evening. Temperatures will be in the low 100s with the heat index as high as 110 degrees.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Brett Albright tells KLIN News there will be light winds which will provide little relief. Albright said a cold front will approach the area by Tuesday with the possibility of it sparking some storms however it’s too early to forecast any specifics on any severe weather.
