Two male juveniles, ages 16 and 14, were booked into the Youth Assessment Center for theft by receiving stolen property after they were found in a stolen 2022 Jeep Wrangler.
Lincoln Police were called to the 5000 block of South 72nd Street around 9:45 Tuesday morning. Officers spoke to a man who said his Jeep had been taken from his driveway. LPD reports a fob to the vehicle had been left in the glove compartment.
The vehicle was located with the help of its onboard GPS. About three hours later, officers tracked to the UNL Recreation Center at 841 North 14th Street. There were two male occupants inside and both took off running. Both were caught and taken into custody.
