A 23 year old man is facing a number of charges after he was found asleep behind the wheel of his pickup at North 67th and Marcia Lane around 4:30 Saturday morning. His pickup was found blocking the road.
Police started a DUI investigation and found a 12 gauge shotgun in the cab of the pickup. The shotgun had the pistol grip removed, the barrel had been cut to shorten the length, and the serial number had been defaced. Officers also found a small amount of methamphetamine.
Travis Rook’s blood alcohol level was .101. He was booked for DUI, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a defaced firearm, and possession of a short shotgun.
