Three people are facing charges after a stolen Chevy pickup was recovered Wednesday near 290 North A Street.
The Lancaster County Fugitive Task Force spotted the pickup near 13th and D Street. At that point, the NSP Air Wing picked up the chase of the vehicle and it pulled over at North A Street.
At that point, three people got out of the vehicle and ran. Lincoln Police Department, Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies and the Nebraska State Patrol then chased down the three suspects and took them into custody.
Zachary Douglas, age 26 was the driver and he was arrested for possession of a stolen property over $5,000, flee to avoid a felony, and four counts of criminal possession of a financial transaction device.
Richard Thornton, age 25 was arrested for possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person. He was in possession of brass knuckles. He was also in possession of a controlled substance, 1 gram of methamphetamine.
Also arrested was 20 year old Riane Ward for possession stolen property over $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance, one gram methamphetamine.
The pickup had been reported stolen in Lincoln and was valued at $14,000. The vehicle also had fictitious license plates.
